Afghanistan in the month of August 2020

N.B. This article consists of only those incidents and casualties which were admitted and confirmed by the enemy as well. It is worth reminding that for further and detailed information of losses of the enemy forces, one should visit the official website of the Islamic Emirate on regular basis.

August 2020 was also full of significant incidents. During this month, a number of the enemy bases including one district came under Mujahidin control. A number of the enemy forces joined Mujahidin. On political front, significant progress was achieved. These and various other topics are discussed under the following captions:

Losses and casualties of the internal forces:

Several enemies, their commanders and even commando forces were killed during Mujahidin’s operations on their strategic centers. For instance:

On Sunday 2nd August, a police chief was killed by his own people in Kapisa province.

On Friday 14th August, a commander of the internal mercenaries was killed along with three forces in the above province.

On the same day, another commander of the mercenary army was killed by Mujahidin in Nimroz province.

On Tuesday 18th August, a commander of the second brigade died of those injuries he had suffered previously in Helmand province.

On the following day, a commando training officer was killed by Mujahidin in Ghazni province.

On the same day, the security director of the center of Urzgan province was killed in Kabul.

On Saturday 22nd August, a colonel of the stooge admin was killed inside Kabul.

Losses and torture of civilian people:

Brutalities and viciousness of the internal forces as well as their foreign masters against the civilian people were incessant during this month as well, in which tens of our innocent people were martyred and injured. Details of this phenomena can be found in the monthly reports of civilian losses and casualties which is regularly published on the official website of the Islamic Emirate. In the following lines, some incidents are elaborated.

On Wednesday 26th August, ten students who were learning the Holy Quran by heart, were ruthlessly martyred when a madrassa was indiscriminately bombed by the internal forces in Baghlan province.

On Saturday 29th August, a mosque was bombed and destroyed by the American occupying forces in ‘Said Abad’ district of ‘Maidan Wardak’ province.

On Monday 31st August, another mosque was destroyed in the indiscriminate bombing of the internal forces in Qaisar district of Faryab province.

Amalgamation with Mujahidin:

The amalgamation process of the enemy forces with Mujahidin was incessant in August too.

On Thursday 20th August, the Islamic Emirate announced that 883 enemy forces had joined Mujahidin during last month.

On Monday 10th August, nine enemy forces joined Mujahidin in Ghazni province.

On the following day, fifteen more enemy forces joined Mujahidin in Laghman province.

On Friday 14th August, twenty four enemy forces surrendered to Mujahidin in Baghlan province.

On Tuesday 18th August, seventy two enemy forces joined Mujahidin in Balkh and Paktia province.

On Saturday 22nd August, fifteen enemy forces joined Mujahidin in Paktia province while twenty more forces joined Mujahidin in Laghman province.

Thorough details of this process can be read in the monthly report of ‘Guidance and Amalgamation Commission’ of the Islamic Emirate which is regularly published on its official website.

Exchange of Prisoners:

The stooge admin in Kabul convened a ‘Loya Jirga’ (Grand Council) to decide the release of remaining prisoners of the Islamic Emirate. This Jirga was called on Friday 7th August, which ended on Sunday 9th August after issuing a declaration advising the stooge admin to release of the remaining four hundred Mujahidin prisoners.

The Islamic Emirate had already announced the illegitimacy of this Jirga, which was backed up by several participants of this Jirga by calling it a bogus process, as the stooge admin in Kabul was already directed by American side that Mujahidin prisoners should be released without any further delay.

On Monday 10th August, Ashraf Ghani signed the release of these Mujahidin prisoners, whereas the Australian government asked the Americans that those Taliban should not be released who were involved in killing the Australian occupying forces.

On Monday 16th August, the French government also expressed its discontent with the release of those Mujahidin prisoners who were involved in killing the French occupying forces.

Following these disapprovals, the stooge admin in Kabul resorted to lame excuses for delaying the release of prisoners despite the approval of ‘Loya Jirga’ or ‘Grand Council’.

Atmar said that an international consensus should be built up for the release of remaining prisoners, whereas Ashraf Ghani added that the release of these prisoners can result in increased drug trafficking to Europe; an excuse which had neither head nor tail.

On Thursday 20th August, the Islamic Emirate asked the American side to convince the puppet regime in Kabul for the acceleration of this process; and eventually the stooge admin bowed to release these prisoners.

‘Al-Fatah’ Operations:

On Saturday 8th August, several enemy forces were killed and wounded when the public administration brigade came under severe Mujahidin attacks in Ghazni province.

On Monday 17th August, Murghab district in Ghor province came under Mujahidin control after a heavy fighting.

On the same day, the enemy forces fled away and evacuated a key military base in Kunduz province, which directly came under Mujahidin control.

On the following day, a key commando base was attacked by Mujahidin in Balkh province, in which several enemy forces were killed and wounded.

On Sunday 16th August, media reported that Armenia is sending fresh troops to Afghanistan; and

On Monday 17th August, two hundred American forces were withdrawn from Afghanistan.
